| RIG CHAIN INSPECTION | | | In co-operation with AAK AS, and with a unique solution for inspection, handling and transport of rig chain, we offer a complete service for rig owners or yards as a supplier of rig chain inspection and certification.
AAK AS is DNV-certified for: ”Renewal Survey Examination of Mooring Chain intended for Mobile Offshore Units in accordance with Approval Programme No. 413 April 2008, DNV-OSS-101 and DNV-OSS-102”.
The inspection- and repairwork are done according to class requirements.
We also do special custom requirements like 100% MPI from StatoilHydro.
‘Stadt Barge 10’ is a 48 x 12 m barge with a CIU (Chain Inspection Unit) mounted, and hydraulic chain wheels fore and aft. The loading capacity is 1000 tons and we can handle 75 meters of chain per minute. Due to the powerful and efficient system for loading and discharging, the custom-built barge is perfect for pickup, inspection and transport of rig chain.
